A Tragic Parting[]
After Baladium's defeat, Klonoa hurriedly rushes to Grandpa's side, who aplogises to his grandson for his inability to stop Joka from taking the Moon Pendant. Although Klonoa begs Grandpa not to speak right now, the latter knew it was too late for him. When he asks Klonoa if he spoke to Granny, Klonoa confirms he had, Grandpa acknowledges his grandson's bravery. As he accepts that the wheels of fate have begun to turn, Grandpa also acknowledges that while he and Klonoa didn't have much time, the latter, who he calls his child of the wind, had made him very happy. Grandpa urges Klonoa to get the pendant, pausing when Klonoa begs him to save his strength. With his last breath, Grandpa finishes by saying it was Klonoa's destiny, before collapsing dead. Huepow, guilt-ridden, apologises to Grandpa for what had happened, as Klonoa lets out an anguished scream to the sky.
As the forlorn Klonoa mourns Grandpa, Huepow reminds him that, while he understands how he feels, they have to go after the pendant. But Klonoa wonders how he and Huepow were supposed to get to the Temple of the Sun, as they know that the pendant was there. Just then, Huepow spots something approaching. They recognize that it was Pamela who was approaching, flying in the air. She informs the duo that King Seadoph and Granny had told her everything that had happened and tells them to get up on her back. They do and head off to the Temple of the Sun together.
