Klonoa's Grand Gale Strategy is the Extra Vision of the original game. Serving as the game's "Time Trial" level, Klonoa must race to the top of Balue's Tower to get the best time.

Not long after Phantomile is saved, and somehow returning to Phantomile, Klonoa, along with Huepow see that Balue had finished his tower. They are immediately confronted by Balue who suddenly accuses Klonoa of wanting to take Lephise away from him. Balue himself believes it was actually the power of his love that saved her despite Klonoa and Huepow being the ones who rescued her. Therefore, he tells the duo he would leave being the heroes of Phantomile to them, while he has Lephise all to himself in exchange for that. Balue then muses to himself that Lephise was actually waiting for him atop his tower, before pretending they didn't hear that. He then tells them to go home and get to bed, saying his tower was off-limits, before leaping back up to the top of the tower. With no better ideas, Klonoa and Huepow decide to go after him.
After racing to the top of the tower, the duo wonder where Balue and Lephise were. On top of the tower, Lephise tells Balue, much to his shock that she doesn't truly love him. Klonoa and Huepow realise they didn't need to rush after all, seeing as Balue's romance didn't last very long; Klonoa understood that Balue was too old for Lephise despite being young at heart in Huepow's view. The duo then speak with Lephise, who both thanks them for worrying about her and apologizes that they had to ascend the tower to get to her. While they didn't really need to ask her if she was alright and understood it wasn't as if they were able to help, Lephise still apologizes for troubling the pair. Even then, the duo believed Balue should have known better, seeing how he was the one causing all the trouble. Lephise counters that Balue is actually quite gentle, showing the pair the grammaphone he made for her. At Huepow's urging, she starts up the machine, playing the "Thankful Suite" for them, while a heartbroken Balue is left to wallow in his misery.
