The Terminus of Tears is the palace within the Kingdom of Sorrow where the King of Sorrow resides. A large crater lies between the King and the entrance, with the Bell of Sorrow hanging from high above, and the terminus is where the battle between Klonoa and the King is fought.

Story[]
The King of Sorrow[]
Upon Klonoa and his friends' arrival here The King of Sorrow revealed to them the details of his plan to bring sorrow back to Lunatea; having manipulated every event up to now, he explains that he just wanted to save his kingdom and that people would remember sadness. He loses his remaining sanity, deciding to take out his pent-up anger against Lunatea on Klonoa. He attacks Klonoa, in a form resembling a monstrous version of his Baguji disguise, who deflected his first attack.
Leorina's Call[]
He collapsed and began lamenting that there was no place for sorrow in the world. Leorina arrived and reprimanded the King for thinking he's the only one who was sad. She gave Klonoa the Elements from the other four kingdoms, giving him the power he needed to defeat the King. The King suffered a mental breakdown, isolating himself in a forcefield in a last-ditch attempt to kill Klonoa, ultimately being beaten.
I Came to Help[]
Defeated and gravely wounded, the King begged Klonoa to help him, revealing himself to have been the Dream Voice all along. Klonoa agreed, and rang the Bell of Sorrow, restoring the power of sorrow.
Healing Memory[]
As the King laid dying in his arms, Klonoa reassured him that he no longer has to be afraid, and that sorrow would not be forgotten again. The King was finally able to be at peace, and evaporated in Klonoa's arms, his kingdom's Element appearing in his place. As Lolo and Popka look on, they ponder about the coincidence of Klonoa's resemblance to the Goddess Claire.
Saying Goodbye[]
Some time later, the people of Lunatea helped rebuild the Kingdom of Sorrow, with a reformed Leorina at the head of the effort. Lolo meanwhile, remembering the Old Tree's words about accepting doubt and moving forward, decides she will try to make priestess on her own no matter how long it takes, having given up her title. While she tries to hide it initially, she becomes very sad about Klonoa leaving Lunatea, not wanting him to go. Klonoa reassures her that they'll still have each other no matter what. And with that, Klonoa takes his leave from Lunatea.
