The Forgotten Path is a mysterious void in the Kingdom of Sorrow that serves as the gateway to the Terminus of Tears where the King of Sorrow resides. Klonoa has to navigate his way through the void through use of his board. Children's laughter and the voice that Klonoa has heard calling for help during his adventure, the Dream Voice, can be heard here in echoes.

Upon arrival here, Klonoa and his friends hear the Dream Voice calling for help once more. Knowing that he has been hearing it all his time in Lunatea, Klonoa decides that he and his friends would find the answer at the end of the path.
